The Cleveland Plain-Dealer’s Tony Grossi thinks that the “Man-Genius” label should be removed from Eric Mangini’s profile because of the Jets’ record this season. Although the Jets have certainly underachieved this year, the players have not quit, and are still capable of putting in a good day’s work. After last season’s unexpected success, the coach is entitled to a pass this year. Hopefully, a good draft and some rework of the roster will turn things around.
So, it seems that Browns supporters need to cool it a little bit. The Browns’ track record over the last few years won’t bowl anyone over, and it remains to be seen if Romeo Crennel can lead his team back into the playoff race after last week’s disastrous loss to the Cardinals.
