Darelle Revis gets kudos for his play

Darelle RevisOne of the few bright spots in this otherwise dismal Jets season has been the play of Darelle Revis. He is second on the team in tackles and has really done a good job of covering the opponents’ top receiver after a slow start to the season.

Revis has certainly proved his value as the number 14 pick in the last draft, and this is the type of player the Jets need to get themselves back on the right track. Combined with the play of second-round pick linebacker David Harris, the Jet defense hopefully will improve next season with the addition of a dominating pass-rushing lineman. If you can stock your defense with some playmakers, it will definitely take pressure off of your offense, particularly with a young quarterback who is in the development stage.

Darelle is one of the many prolific athletes to come from where i grew up. (Beaver County Pa)
the list is long; Joe Namath, Ty Law, Tony Dorsett, Ron “Po” James, Dwight Collins, Sean Gilbert, Paul Posluszny, and Jimbo Covert are the names that come to mind. I’m happy to see Darelle doing well, and i knew that the kid was going to be a monster. I thought it was going to be in the NBA rather than the NFL. I played against him in football and watched him play basketball. He scored 5 touchdowns in the PA Football state championship, and then the next morning dropped 36 points on a formidable opponent in hoops. Ridiculous!
