  • Say hello to T.O.The Cowboys kickoff and punt return coverage packages have not been good this year, so their coaching staff is paying particular attention on stopping Leon Washington, who had another big run last Sunday, this time a 33-yard punt return in overtime to help beat the Steelers. Jet special teams coach Mike Westhoff will have to come up with a strategy that will allow Washington to get the ball despite what the Cowboys may do, which would probably involve squib kicks and/or kicks directed at other players.
  • Well, good ol’ T.O. (that’s Terrell Owens to those of you who don’t know who he is) says he’s never heard of Jet rookie cornerback Darrelle Revis. Hopefully, Revis will introduce himself to T.O. via a jarring hit over the middle. The Jets have to bang T.O. around in order to neutralize his effectiveness, so if they needed any extra motivation, they can thank T.O. for supplying it to them.
  • The short work week for the Jets is causing them to concentrate more on getting their bodies ready to compete once they step onto the field against the Cowboys. The team’s trainers are certainly earning their keep the last few days. Add in the travel to Dallas itself and it’ll be a tough go for the Jets, but Coach Mangini is surely looking for ways to motivate his players to give a good effort.
