Reports out of Baltimore indicate that Jonathan Vilma could be on the Ravens’ radar screen for the 2008 season.
According to the Baltimore Sun, Ray Lewis is in line for some big money next year in the last year of his contract, so Jonathan Vilma could be a younger, cheaper option and the Ravens might be willing to deal for him.
As much as I like Vilma, he is out for the year and he seems to be in Coach Mangini’s doghouse, so there could be an opportunity for the Jets to get a 2nd round pick for him. Plus, rookie David Harris has looked very good in the time he has been on the field, so the Jets (unbelievably) are deep at linebacker so a deal to use on filling another hole could be the smart move here.
