The Buffalo point of view

This WAS a touchdown!I found this blog called “Buffalo Rumblings” (love the name!) that gives a nice breakdown and analysis of the upcoming game. I’ll be jotting down my own thoughts in the next day or so, but this post was pretty insightful. The writer, Brian Galliford, thinks tight end Chris Baker may be the wild card option for the offense on Sunday and could wreak havoc ont he Bills’ defense.

In the last few years, the Jets passing schemes haven’t involved the tight ends that much, but Baker does have fairly good hands and can be effective in the red zone. I’m not sure Brian Schottenheimer is going to make Baker a primary target on Sunday, but it might be nice to see some play action in the middle of the field and see if Baker can get open behind the Buffalo linebacking corps. However, I think the plan will be to run Thomas Jones as much as possible, and throw the ball on short yardage situations with some high-percentage patterns.

In any event, some interesting thoughts from the “dark side”…
